This program, delivered in partnership with Bay River College, will give our students the skills to focus and provide special attention to children with physical, learning, or emotional needs. Our students will learn to build and manage a team with leadership and avoid conflicts. The student will develop all the necessary skill that is required to work under a class teacher.
Students will also acquire knowledge of educational ethics, and maintain healthy relationships with pupils and parents. They will learn how to assist a class teacher during the class as well as help him to prepare the material required for his future lectures. They will learn to build new strategies and how to apply those strategies to the children for making them learn fast and easily.

Become a Qualified Education Assistant
The Education Assistant Diploma Program from Bredin College in partnership with Bay River College provides hands-on training with essential classroom skills such as team building, leadership and conflict resolution, and pupil observation and assessment

Due to the career-oriented nature of the proposed program and the accelerated delivery format, we are not able to engage in transfer agreements with other Alberta Public Colleges.
Education Assistant students at Bredin take part in a 200-hour practicum experience through trusted college partners who understand the value of Bredin’s training. Gain on-the-job experience alongside working support professionals.

In alignment with regulations and recommendations from the Ministry of Advanced Education (PPC Branch), Bay River College is the Designated Learning Institute (DLI) for this program.

The dedicated Financial Aid team at Bredin College will help you through the financing process and discuss funding options with you such as Student Aid, personal line of credit or loan, or RESPs. They will take time to personally assist in determining which financial option is right for you. Once this is decided they work with you to help secure funding before starting your program.
Our instructor made the course a lot easier; he is very patient; he takes his time to explain and makes sure everybody understands. His method of using real-life experiences to explain makes it easier to assimilate.
This diploma is delivered by Bay River College, a preferred partner of the Bredin Group. This program is licensed to Bay River College and is delivered in its entirety by Bay River College in accordance with the Private Career Colleges Act of Alberta, 2005 S.O. 2005 CHAPTER 28 and the Private Vocational Training Act. Any student enrolled in this program will be under the direction and instruction of Bay River College and must comply with Bay River College policies, procedures, and requirements.
