Training Program

Office Assistants work under the direction of management and provide clerical support to tasks such as greeting clients, managing files, updating paperwork and other general office duties.

If you are an organized, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with others, training as an Office Assistant could be an excellent opportunity.

Office Assistant

The Office Assistant Diploma program from Bredin College provides the hands-on training, real-world experience and industry support it takes to pursue a rewarding career, without spending years in school.

As part of the program, you will get your very own laptop loaded with industry software that you will use to practice your office administration skills. Feel confident and at ease knowing you can practice your skills anywhere you are, all while receiving quality face-to-face instruction on-campus at Bredin College.

Classes are active and led by experienced business professionals. As a student, you’ll train on industry-current software and get up-to-date skills in areas employers look for, including:

  • Keyboarding Skill Development
  • Organizing Information and Formatting Content
  • Working with Illustrations
  • Constructing Cell Data and Using Formulas
  • Retrieving Data and Working with Forms
  • Designing Reports
  • Creating and Delivering Presentations
  • And more!

Plus, you will complete a 4-week practicum in a corporate and/or business setting. Through this exposure, you will gain greater awareness of the specific responsibilities and daily experience of professionals in the field.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this program may progress into jobs in the modern office in areas of administration, human resources, payroll, or computer systems. Graduates may qualify for such positions as:
